In 1985, our founder Peter Violas graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts, magna cum laude.  Peter then moved to Hollywood, CA.  Shortly thereafter, a friend introduced him to Paul DeFalco, a talented old school painter who was a stickler for perfection.  Peter and Paul hit it off so well that Peter became his apprentice. Peter quickly learned and excelled in all phases of painting and staining.  But there was more.  It was not enough for Peter’s artistic side to be satisfied with brushing out the perfect door.  It was at an Italian furniture store in Beverly Hills in 1991where he was introduced to something that would change his life forever.  It was called Venetian Plaster.  A crew from Italy was flown in to install this exotic product and fortunately they left some behind.  It didn’t take Peter long to learn how to use it and soon was off on his own.
